Research Interests
My research interests lie in the areas of 3D visual reconstruction and it application.
I currently have particular interests in
- image-based high resolution surface reconstruction,
- 3D face reconstruction and transformation, and
- visual SLAM.
Projects
July 2013 - Jun 2016
EPSRC: Realistic Shape from Shading
The aim of this project is to develop an interactive SFS platform and combine techniques from image processing, shape-from-X etc. to achieve accurate shape recovery from sophisticated real-world images.
Experimental images for this project can be downloaded here.
Sep 2009 - Jun 2013
RIVIC: Vision-based Geometric Modelling
The main topic of my research in this project is geometric generation of bas-reliefs from photographs using SFS
